Excerpts from letter written to an Authority on Religious Journey of life. Any body who could throw light on this is welcome to share with examples or real life events

Have been reading the writings of Saints, scriptures, and am very minute observer and evaluator of happenings in life of myself, our family and society around us. As I have come to understand that ‘Karama’, ‘Sanchit Karma’ and ‘Prarabdhs’ are the main driving force of our present life cycle that we are leading. In one of the Scriptures I came across a samvad (discussion) between two Rishis, not recollecting their names, one of whom was a Brahm rishi like our Param pujya Gurudev. The other Rishi who did not happen to be a Brahm Rishi asks him that ‘you being Brahm Gyani know your Prarabdh and know why you have come to this earth. You know for how long you have to live on this earth. You know what remedial action to take to set those misdeeds right, but how a common man like me or for that matter any one else can know as to what has happened in his past births, and what is in store for him in the times to come. I do not know, What was my past life. What good or bad deeds have been done by me in past lives’. The Brahm Rishi said that our Guru only knows our Prarabds, through his insight and he puts his disciple to the way of life that can lead to repentance of his actions in his past births which lead him to wash his Prarabds if he follows the dictates of his Guru. However, the time constraints and distances puts us on disadvantages and we remain in dark. What is the method to solve this puzzle.
My second thought is as I understand, this life or birth is one of the strings of births and this life is not an isolated one from our past. I also realize this body is just an apparatus to carry my Atma, which is ultimate reality and it keeps on changing this outer apparatus called ‘Sharir’ and prarabds decide our course of life. My dilemma is that our Soul which is indestructible and has been with us through many a births but why the Soul does not lead us and chart our course of life which can work towards the goal of every Soul to leave this cycle of Births and Deaths and be one with the super Soul of the Universe. Why it plays a passive role, when it is witness to all our past journeys and also knows fully well the destiny in store for us based on our ‘Karma’.
I sincerely request you with deep regard and faith that you will throw some light on these questions and lead me from darkness to light and also refer me to some of Gurudev’s writings on these aspects. I am staunch believer in Bhagwad Gita and Bhagwan Krishan and read the explanations being given in Akhand Jyoti every month.
